The Climate Collective is a broad network of people and groups working to prevent catastrophic climate change.
Our unified points include a clear anti-capitalist stance in the climate debate, supporting
real solutions to climate change and taking radical action now to confront the underlying causes of climate change.

Climate Collective
A quick intro for those of you who don't know what climatecollective.org is: A common web platform for everyone interested in climate activism. The goal is not to reinvent the wheel, but to be innovative and make the lives easier for everyone involved: Coordinators, (potential) activists and people simply interested in what's going on.
First of all, there's a long road ahead concerning the website. We're quite serious about it, so it's not going to stall in some half-finished version. Secondly, we've already done a lot, and I'm quite happy with the state it's in now.
But now, to make the most important steps, we need your help. And "no" is not an option :)
With member accounts we can join groups and change settings to suite how often we'd like to receive newsletter digests. In groups, there are news and events. Events have fancy google maps with their locations, and soon I'll add the possibility to give RSVPs just like on fecesbook. On a news post, the writer can add as many images as he/she wants, which is gonna look pretty cool once people start writing news reports from events.
Each member has an account and a profile, and you can upload a profile picture / avatar.
You can invite other people!
The website is prepared to handle multiple languages. So far we have prepared for Danish and English.
Well, first of all the static content of the site is being worked on by Natasha and I. We need more texts, better navigation etc.
RSVPs for events, as mentioned earlier (with special attention on illegal activism, of course). Also, i'll add a comment board for the groups, so it will be easy to post quick questions and engage in discussions.
Newsletter digests are not currently generated or sent.. it's quite a big task, but I'll be doing it ASAP.. but for now, it's fine as long as people create accounts :)
Event and news archives need to be improved, and XML feeds are still missing.
We're in TERRIBLE need of a Danish translation. I speak native Danish, but so far I've done everything in English, and I simply don't have time. All the auto-translated texts are ready, so you just have to edit a file, that I can email you in a split-second..
The logo is not all that cool. So, if there's a talented graphics designer out there, who can help...? It should fit with the rest of the site, since I don't have time atm. to make any grand redesign.
We are not replacing internal coordination such as this mailing list. Groups are not encouraged to stop having individual websites, and contents on this website are mostly public - since anyone can sign up for a membership it doesn't make much sense to try and hide anything.
