Police raids during COP15 recognized as illegal!

Copenhagen's City Court has finally declared illegal the police raids at Ragnhildgade from last December. Ragnhildgade hosted around 750 people that were in Copenhagen to protest COP15. They were awake by massive amounts of police on the night to the 9th of December, and then again the week after.

One of the coordinators of the space during COP15, Ida Schyum, says: "It was really frustrating for people to be woken up in the middle of the night by that much police that disturbed their sleep. It was a space that was supposed to be quite and where people would have the opportunity to relax, but people were instead harassed by the police, that carried on an illegal raid".

Ida Schyum filed an immediate complaint for the raid. She continues: "We have from the beginning complained about the raids and felt harassed. Now we have succeeded in our complaint, which shows that police methods were entirely absurd. That's why we also hope that we will succeed in the several hundreds complaints over police behaviour that are going to court in these days".
